Care,compassion,knowledge and understanding the best possible outcome are all great qualities and skills that Gill has. I have experienced other Stoma nurses in different hospitals that do not show many of the qualities above. As a stoma patient we can feel quite vulnerable and Gill has always shown great kindness and compassion towards me as a patient. I think this is a basic level of skill that all stoma nurses should have. We want an easy, comfortable and confident life as dealing with a stoma can be very stressful and embarrassing, so helping us to find the right bag and method of looking after our stoma is key.

As previously stated Gill and her team have been wonderful and the treatment I have received from them has been outstanding. Gill has been at the end of the phone for me day or night and even arranged to see me in clinic to support me.
